•• Welcome!
Suil am mellon i tôl anin ardh-i-nGaladhrim!
Mae tollen, mellyn nín... welcome to HaldirOfLorien.com, a site dedicated to Haldir (of Lórien) from Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings", the most wonderful and amazing Elf in Middle-earth... and Craig Parker (the actor of Haldir in the film), the most sweetest and down-to-earth actor there is out there. Please read the Terms of Use, and follow my guidelines. And why not join the Haldir/Craig Parker fanlisting while you're here? Linking back and affiliation is most welcome! Enjoy!

Navaer,
Veronica

'You cannot go back. Now you have come thus far, you must be brought before the Lord and the Lady. They shall judge you, to hold you or to give you leave, as they will. You cannot cross the rivers again, and behind you there are now secret sentinels that you cannot pass. You would be slain before you saw them.'

A little something to keep you busy...

Good morning! Today is September 6, 2010 (Monday).

14 Mar 2007 - Attempting an update
Hm, I really don't know why I'm bothering to update... because there ARE no updates... I just don't want to let my site die like it did before. *cough* Well what to say? I've fixed up every single page to the new layout (yeah I'm really slow at that... takes me a couple of sad sad days). We have three new affiliates and a random misc. section for stuff that I am too stupid to classify (hmm).

12 Mar 2007 - New Layout!
A THOUSAND thanks to Lomelinde for coding this beautiful new layout! It looks amazing and I can't stop thanking her. (Her own site is a pretty darn gorgeous thing...) But yeah, thanks to her I have this nicely coded layout. I made the header though... so the text isn't the most beautiful thing in the world, I know. Ran out of ideas. *sob sob*

Well I mainly changed the layout because some people had trouble getting the old one to load... a few dial-up users. Which is also why this one is so tiny.

12 Mar 2007 - Lack of Updates
Yes yes I know... I suck at frequent updates. I'm currently getting a new layout made though, and until then, I'm not doing anything else. *yawn*

So... a lovely farewell to our beloved Moderator, Miluiel Greenleaf, who left the forum because her vision was failing (well, not THAT drastic but you all know what I mean...) so I hope you get better soon Miluiel! Computers ARE evil things. We've had a couple new affiliates, which is good. Very very good.

Gah, a couple of days into it, and I've already become the laziest webmistress ever. How shameful. :) I DID finish a 10-banner request by Darky from A-U.com though. It turned out quite nicely... and she deserved it! She's such a sweet person *huggle*

07 Feb 2007 - A REAL Update
Okay so this is a real real update... I got a LOT of pages up today and yesterday... so we have:

- Poems from The Hobbit
- Music from the Lord of the Rings soundtracks
- Affliates
- Contact
- Link Back

And of course... the Forum.

Remember that if you have any artwork or graphic (preferably Tolkien-related...) you can either post it in the reply section of this blog or you can e-mail it to me and I'll post it up in the Fan section. It's empty right now because there are no fans e-mailing to me yet. So... that's that.

And if anyone is a Craig Parker fan - like me - you might be interested in ING bank adverts that he did recently... they're also up in the forum on one of the threads:

ING Bank Ad 1
ING Bank Ad 2
ING Bank Ad 3

And if you want to download them:

Zip file; Contains all three versions
ING Bank Ad 1 (mpeg)
ING Bank Ad 2 (mpeg)
ING Bank Ad 2 (wmv)

Enjoy them!

And more about "The Hobbit" (movie) and Craig:

From TheOneRing.net

Greg Wright Talks THE HOBBIT:

The added bonus? Added roles for Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn, Liv Tyler as Arwen, Hugo Weaving as Elrond, Cate Blanchett as Galadriel, and Orlando Bloom as Legolas — maybe even John Rhys-Davies as Gimli. All of these characters were alive during the period of The Hobbit, and were certainly active during the period between the two tales. Heck, we might even get a major role for Craig Parker again as Haldir, which would make his subsequent death in The Two Towers all that more poignant.

So hopefully we will be seeing those characters in the upcoming movie! It would make it a lot more familiar and enjoyable anyway.

07 Feb 2007 - Cutenews!
Okay I FINALLY got this Cutenews to work, after YEARS of trying and trying... it finally works! I kept getting some Line 469 error code, so I had to rummage around the files and change a code. And yes it works now and I am incredibly happy! I LOVE YOU ALL!
